Western summer heat.
A still life view from the inside of a room.
Capturing the western lands of Australia, summer heat, the soil and the trees while the warm atmosphere is refreshingly balanced out by the table decor.
Inspired by reimagined-modern still life techniques and Western Australian outbacks.

About Hiranya Ranawake

An Australian figurative fine-artist practicing full-time, based in Redland Bay, QLD.

Prominent body of work is stylised figurative portraiture which has been mildly influenced by romanticism and symbolism yet progressively developed into a sophisticated unique style. Moody expressive body language and signature colourful line works discuss traditional ideas in a contemporary eye.

The artistic expressions and techniques cerebrate the artist's South Asian cultural heritage enriched by the traditional works of local masters, folklore and the studies of classical Indo-Aryan painting styles.
