About the Artist

… Nobody knew what was going to happen to her when she decided to move to Australia.“The Land of Plenty” helped to discover her hidden talents and reinvent herself as visual artist. Originally from Russia, Elena Valerie started her journey as a visual artist in Australia. She studied under the guidance of the leading Australian artists, who taught her traditional oil painting techniques to express her vision. Inspired by native tropical Queensland flora, Elena created a collection of oil painted flowers that dance in the flow of the harmony. Paintings are completed in a realistic manner using several glazing layers which makes paintings emotionally rich and vibrant. The goal of her artworks is to send the message of beauty, sensuality and passion. Not long ago she has discovered a new subject to add in her art journey, animal portraits. She is working in oil to create a realistic style and warmth to her work. Finalist of Rotary Art Spectacular, Brisbane (Curator's Choice); 2nd place in oil, Ocean Shores CC 12th Art Competition;Finalist of The Art Lovers Australia Artist’s Prize.Finalist of Cliftons Art Prize. I am planting a message of love, beauty and sensuality with my paintings. In particular inspecting flowers, I study the beauty of life itself. The harmonious part of our wondrous world and its inhabitants are the core of my work. It is my desire to engage the viewer in a dialogue with my work, discovering the intricacies, melodiousness and layers of natures charm and artistry.
