About the Artist

Martina Clarke is an Australian/ Danish artist based in Springbrook. Both oil painter and installation artist, my practice focuses on climate change and the Australian landscape. Through semi-realistic paintings and a touch of surrealism I explore the emotional world connected to a rapidly changing and unpredictable society by capturing universal sensations such as sunlight, contemplation and gratitude. My focus is to bring my audience some sense of familiarity and presence through the experience of art, whether it be a portrait or an interactive installation.
