Near Charraboomba
Oil on canvas
Near Charraboomba was painted after several walks around the Shipstern Circuit in Lamington National Park. It is a unique landscape of scribbly gums, eucalypt and heath forest, with views into Nixon's Creek, Numinbah Valley and across to Springbrook. Done from a study drawing that was drawn from memory in my studio, the painting is an attempt to capture the incredible diversity and enormity of this rugged natural landscape.
Size: 120 × 90 cm
