Ecology in Colour celebrates the richness and interconnectedness of Australia’s native wildlife and plant life. In this work, I bring together species that share the same fragile ecosystems, surrounding them with bold colour and intricate detail to highlight their importance and presence within our landscape. I use strong colour contrasts and layered native flora to show how every element relies on another for balance and survival.
As a regional artist, I’m inspired by the environment around me and the stories it quietly holds. This piece reflects my belief that biodiversity is something to notice, protect, and value — a reminder that our natural world is vibrant, resilient, and deeply connected.
