Basking in the crisp September air, this composition was arranged, photographed and painted on my front verandah. I'm always drawn to lemons and citrus and enjoy the interplay of the real life ranunculus, snapdragrons and chamomile flowers against the hyper-saturated, hyper-detailed floral tablecloth.

Ann Strini is an emerging artist with a passion for painting landscapes and still life scenes influenced by her local surrounds. Painting outdoors in either her Brisbane or Sunshine Coast studios, Ann aims to capture nature’s luminosity and joy through vibrant colors, considered details and playful, impasto alla prima layering.
Ann has exhibited her paintings at Kenmore Gallery, Toowoomba Grammar Art Show, Brookfield Show, the Ekka, Aspire Gallery, Brisbane’s Indooroopilly Library and Brunswick Street Gallery in Melbourne.
