In 2023 First National became a platinum sponsor of The Doyles Art Awards in addition to the long-term sponsorship provided by First National Mudgeeraba who has been an active member of the Mudgeeraba and 4213 community since the office was first established back in 2001 (the same year that the Mudgeeraba Community Association’s held its first “Fun Day” (which eventually led to The Doyles Art Awards as they are known today).

In the early days, two well-known real estate personalities, Tod Scotman and partner, Wendy Sheely (who today are both Area Specialists with First National Mudgeeraba) were some of the original sponsors of the event and have remained actively involved in its sponsorship and advertising activities throughout the years. Tod is also a Director of The Doyles Awards and believes art is a passion, an interpretation of one‘s creative conscious and a stimulus and therapy that we can all enjoy, without boundaries.

First National Mudgeeraba carries on the tradition of supporting this major local event. Mudgeeraba village comes alive during The Doyles and people of all ages enjoy it in all of its controversy, artistic skill and positive effect on the community. Attracting people from all over S.E. Queensland it certainly shines the light on Mudgeeraba!

First National Mudgeeraba believes in giving back to the community and endeavours to do so in a way that fosters community connection and a sense of home. They continue to support The Doyles through a number of local events during the year. And having moved after 21 years in Railway Street to the centre of town in Swan Lane in 2021 offered the perfect position to showcase the area’s unique heritage with the largest photographic representation in the country of a well-known d’Arcy Doyle painting on their front window (attracting the attention of locals and visitors alike).
