Copic Markers and Coloured Pencils
I have always had a strong direction towards still life art. As artists our eyes are always in observation mode and as such what is in front of us is a subject matter ready to tackle. For me, in setting up a diorama by adding objects from around the home, becomes a way of creating colourful scenes that the eye can observe where light and shadow fall, and the negative spaces become as interesting as the positive spaces. Over the last few years Iv'e used the many music albums in my collection as backdrops to add colour. In this particular piece there is Chemical Brothers Music Response and Daft Punk's Tron albums with a Japanese bowl and vase and also an old Delft style milk jug. I often go online to purchase second hand objects just to use in still life setups for fun and quirky dioramas
