He’s been here before, this old sailor. He stays by the fishermen to get his fill.
Not fazed at all by the ocean waves, almost a part of the sea, this pelican was a pleasure to watch and study.
I was entranced painting the movement of the waves, challenged with creating the plumage and stature of this impressive local bird.

About Celeste Hilmer
Finally settled after moving back to the Gold Coast a couple of years ago (after 20 plus years away) has given me the inspiration and motivation to paint and decorate using art and my artistic flair. Numerous renovations have enhanced my yearning to add art and style to the home.
Painting started for me in Perth, where we lived for 17 years. In Western Australia I fell in love with painting and became very involved in the flourishing art community.
Now, very relaxed in my home state, I am keen and ready to evolve.
