Anjie II
Sepia ink pen on paper
This drawing is from a series of images of Anjie. I have employed my stippling technique using fine-tipped ink pens to create the realistic appearance of the skin, the grain of the paper also contributing to the soft textured quality of the nude form. Inspired by the curvaceous forms of Degas’ bathing women, this image is tethered neither to the traditional nor the modern, but an everyday moment in time.
Size: 52 × 69 cm
