Beyond The Shore

In beyond the shore, I have tried to capture the quiet enduring strength and shifting personality of the rock jetty at my local beach. Its character transforms with the time of day, the season, and the mood of the sea.
I explore that sense of perpetual change. The jetty becomes a meeting point between stability and movement, a place where light, tide, and weather rewrite the scene moment by moment.

About Mark O'Hara
Mark is a figurative landscape artist living in Brisbane, Queensland, whose works are inspired by a combination of Australian land or seascapes, and manmade structures. Primarily self-taught, Mark began sketching in his early childhood and credits his grandfather, who was also a painter, with developing his initial interest in art. He began working in oils later in 2017, after completing a short skills course where he was introduced to the application and joy of the medium.
