Light is the inspiration for my watercolour paintings. My content is always about nature’s gifts, I believe its beauty is unsurpassed. In my artwork I create an interplay between realism and stylisation.

About Dellene Strong
I wrote and illustrated a series of books as teacher’s art resources published by Macmillan. The first set won Australian teachers resource of the year 2005. The set to follow won the same award in 2007. This led to conducting art classes in Alstonville.
I spent 6 years teaching art classes, however a serious illness halted this. Now I have time to exhibit and I have won several awards.
Currently I see my work as a way to bring the natural world into our busy lives and ultimately encourage others to see the beauty and energy of our surrounds.
