Mixed media abstract landscape. My dedication to Canyon Lookout, high up in the Gold Coast Rainforest. I always wanted to recreate an abstract version of this magnificent view, and to showcase the natural beauty of the rock formation and surrounds.
Located in Springbrook, the viewing platform offers jaw-dropping vistas of the entire Gold Coast from Runaway Bay down to Coolangatta, punctuated by impressive volcanic ridges, valleys and dense subtropical rainforest.
The Lookout's remarkable views are a result of natural occurrences including erosion from millions of years, landslides and weathering.
Standing at that viewing platform and simply taking in the vastness, gives me 5 minutes to decompress, breathe in the fresh clean air and find my centre of peace and harmony.
It never felt right to paint it, then I relocated to Goldy and now fully appreciate it for all it's majestic wonder.
It's where I find my CLARITY and my peace.
