End of Shift
Watercolour on 300gm cold pressed paper, mounted and coated with resin.
I painted this close up of a friend’s dog and adjusted the background. I love painting different fields of view as it increases drama, getting up close with my camera for detail and a deep connection to the subject.
Size: 40 × 34 cm

About Stacey Menz
I am an artist whose first known work was at three years of age filling in the floral motif of my mother's bed spread with her red nail polish.
From sixteen to nineteen years of age I commissioned portraits for friends and family that prompted a graduation from graphite pencil on paper to acrylic paint on canvas which led to me being invited to participate in a street exhibition.
Post retirement from the Navy I have returned to commissioning works of any subject with the most popular finish being resin.
