Monica Maleck
Grace in the fading light
Oil painting
The background colour of this painting is Prussian blue so makes it a perfect painting for Hampton styled homes. The delicate, ruffled petals and the contrast between the soft colors and the dark background give it a sense of depth and emotion.
Like whispers of time, these petals hold the beauty of both bloom and decay. They are neither fully fresh nor fully wilted—caught in a moment between vibrancy and fragility. Life, like flowers, is ever-changing, delicate, and fleeting. Yet, even in its imperfections, there is grace, resilience, and quiet strength. This painting is a celebration of that transience—a reminder that beauty is not just in the beginning but also in the graceful surrender to time.

About Monica Maleck
Monica is a full-time artist who transforms her journey of healing into evocative works of art. Once an engineer with a PhD, she left her career after trauma and chronic illness led her to rediscover painting as a sanctuary. Inspired by flowers and nature, Monica’s work reflects resilience, serenity, and the deep emotional connection she shares with her late mother, who encouraged her creativity as a child. Through her art, she invites viewers to find peace in life’s fleeting moments. Monica’s studio, Monicartist, celebrates transformation and the quiet strength within us all.
