Hope

Acrylic on canvas

As the Autumnal sun rises and the trees leaves turn red and fall, the shadows of the passing year will diminish leaving only the bare branches reaching forward to await rebirth in Spring.
Just like the tree, in order to grow we must shed the shadows of the past year and reach ever outward with the hope of a new beginning.

The use of bold, vibrant colours is intended as a positive stimulant to the senses with the combination of the pointillism technique on a black background adding a dramatic contrast.

Size: 56 × 46 cm

$1000

About Paul Hendley

If anyone asked me how much my first pay cheque was that made me give up on my dream of a career in art I’d be embarrassed to answer. Fortunately, after many years of wage slavery, I now have the time to indulge my passion and explore the possibilities of what I can achieve. As a self-taught artist with minimal painting experience every piece of work I create is an experiment. As with all artists I try to ignore the ‘happy accidents’ as I take this voyage of discovery to see what’s over the next horizon.
