Otto Schmidinger
Magic Pond

Oil on canvas

I am always exploring weird places looking for a scene that excites me and makes me want to paint it.
Usually it involves quite a lot of travel and a lot of walking.
This one I found in a corner of a park in Nerang on the Gold Coast.
A small clearing with a pond in an overgrown impenetrable swamp.
Light filtered through the leaves reflects off the pond and dances through the trees. Magic.

Size: 76 × 100 cm

$8500
