My Screaming Conscience
My Screaming Conscience explores the complexity of biological emotion and the internal struggle to express our true feelings against the fear of judgment. Using my face for reference, both the neutral and screaming faces symbolize an intimate battle within the conscience.
The screaming profile, rendered in a cold, eerie blue, is a suppressed, human-resembling entity seeking liberation from a permeating void. In contrast, the human face represents the passive masks we wear; she gazes away, her ears barricaded by gentle flowers to silence the internal cries of desperation. Amidst this conflict, the birds embody hope—hope for the eventual unity and coherence of a spirit free of judgement and finally at peace.
