On The Wire
Pastel
On the Wire captures a fleeting moment observed along the Great Ocean Road, where a small blue wren paused briefly on a weathered fence. Working from my own reference, I was drawn to the contrast between the softness and movement of the bird and the strong, textured lines of timber and wire. The wren never stayed still for long, making the moment feel both fragile and transient. Rendered in soft pastel, It reflects the quiet beauty found in passing encounters, where even the smallest subject can hold presence.
