Nature has a way of grounding us - walking through forests, across open fields, or along a coastline can shift our perspective and clear the mind. I enjoy breaking this down into exaggerated shapes and colours in a way the I find visually interesting, making the work a link between landscape and life.

About Kylie Findlay
In 2010, Kylie completed a Bachelor of Visual Art at Southern Cross University, majoring in Painting, and currently works out of her studio in Currumbin, Queensland. Kylie has been a finalist multiple times in the Dean Cogle Portrait Prize, won Third Place in the 2023 Doyles Landscape Award, and was a 2024 finalist in TNBT at The Toowoomba Gallery. She is interested in aspects that make us human - imperfections, ability to feel, relate and converse, and reflect on experiences – this is what she seeks to express in her artistic work.
