Saturn
Oil and Coloured Pencil on Canvas
This work speaks to a shared, often quiet longing—a dream many carry inside: the hope for a better life, a place where we can act on our wildest fantasy’s. It reflects a collective yearning for something beyond the heaviness of daily existence, a desire that transcends background or circumstance.
SZA’s song "Saturn" was a big influence when creating this piece. It gives voice to a deep, universal question: What if there’s something else waiting for me? Is life better on Saturn?
This is not escapism, but a quiet act of resistance against compliance. It's a recognition that wanting more—more peace, more connection, more meaning—is a deeply human impulse. This is why I asked my close friend Harper Beaumont to sit for this painting. She is a clear beacon of hope—the grounds for always pushing to achieve more, to live like we’re on Saturn.
