Sea turtle
Saint Stephen’s College
This artwork shows a sea turtle swimming through colourful coral, but also surrounded by plastic and rubbish. I wanted to show the beauty of marine life and how it’s being harmed by pollution. I chose bright, happy colours for the coral to show how amazing the ocean is, and used realistic details to paint the turtle because I love animals and want to protect them. I added plastic cups, bottles, and bags to show how human actions are damaging nature. This painting helped me think more deeply about how small actions, like littering, can hurt sea creatures. I hope people who see this painting feel encouraged to care more about the ocean and make better choices for the environment. I really enjoyed painting this and learning how to balance beauty with a message. I hope my art can help people see what’s happening in the ocean and inspire them to make a change.
