Amy Stapleton
See Mary Run
Acrylic, charcoal and pastel on linen
After a weekend full of adventure, we spotted the sign and made a spontaneous detour to Queen Mary Falls. The experience was nothing short of spectacular and inspired this piece—my favourite in a series of South East Queensland landscapes. The car sickness was a small price to pay; it was everything I’d hoped for and more. I can’t wait to return to her beauty again.
Size: 93 × 93 cm
$1200

About Amy Stapleton
Amy Stapleton is an emerging artist whose contemporary mixed media landscapes are deeply rooted in her connection to the natural environment.
Living on the outskirts of Meanjin/Brisbane, Amy regularly explores the surrounding bushland and waterways, capturing her observations through field sketches. These sketches form an integral part of her creative process, providing the foundation for larger works developed in her home studio. Her practice navigates the space between representational and semi-abstract styles, with a strong emphasis on material experimentation. Amy works across acrylics, charcoal, and pastels, layering diverse techniques to evoke the intricate textures and complexity of the Australian landscape.
