My journey to find the perfect subject for the Doyle competition took 6 months.
I finally discovered the Sunnyside Bridge over the Tenterfield Creek. This was without a doubt the inspiration I had been searching for.
• The visual majesty of the bridge left me in awe.
• Being only 1 of 2 timber and granite viaduct bridges on the main northern rail line made it more unique.
• Also, the fact that in the not-too-distant future, this crumbling bridge will be demolished and lost forever.
My search was over; however, my challenge had just begun. It became my Mt. Everest.
