Sunrise captures a moment of quiet awe. After sleeping in the back of my car on a remote property at Hogwash Bend, I awoke to this view—soft morning light spilling across the land. It stopped me in my tracks. I reached for my camera to capture it, knowing I would one day paint the memory.
This work is a recreation of that still, sacred moment—when the world felt wide, kind, and full of promise. Through textured brushwork and a gentle, rising palette, Sunrise speaks to the beauty of rural landscapes and the quiet strength of those who live among them. It’s a reflection on presence, gratitude, and the power of the ordinary to move us deeply.
