Corinne Lewis
Tea For Three

Oil on Linen

My works often depict birds associating with gracefully dressed women heightening the perception of beauty . Tea For Three plays with the idea of bird and female sharing so many commonalities, in terms of exotic beauty, grace, gentility and sensitivity, that they become interwoven into a divine expression of the feminine. My subject is Amelie, oblivious to the playful interaction between Vonnegut and Schiele as she daydreams in the afternoon light. Anne Smerdon's parrots posed for my as they have many times before.

Size: 70 × 100 cm
