The Discovery and Colonisation of Australia
Ink
My inspiration/style is drawn from Surrealist-Fantasy Art uses symbolic imagery to express subconscious processes, inner obsessions and unlimited fantasy. Universal themes and self- discovery appear throughout in my work. Absurdity and human excesses as well as new visual possibilities revealed by science and technology also inspire my surrealist/fantasy artworks. An avid reader I draw and paint fantastic, integral imagery inspired by books and deep concern about humans and our planet as well as visual art.
I received my first award at the “Dandenong Festival of Music and Art for Youth” in Melbourne Australia in 1976. Since then I have received numerous awards and commendations throughout Australia, including a personal letter from Sir William Dargie (Australia’s leading artist and art teacher). Throughout the years I have produced hundreds of drawings and paintings and have completed private commissions in Australia and the USA.

About Imre Zsido
My interest and passion in art started at very early age. My artistic journey turned towards the Surrealistic and Fantasy style as my life experiences were like dreamlike visions of the best and worst of humanity I furthered my desire to work more with black and white medium to open up and express my inner visual imagery but I also experimented in other mediums. I’m always interested in putting stories into my pictures to express the human behaviour and emotions. This inspires me to create symbolic and visionary images to accommodate my dreamlike fantasy story telling.
