The Light of Wonder captures a fleeting moment of childhood — a time when the smallest things can ignite the greatest sense of awe. As a high school student, I wanted this painting to reflect the quiet power of observation, something we often overlook in a fast-paced world. The boy’s gentle gaze into the fish tank is not just about curiosity, but about connection — between youth and nature, stillness and imagination. This piece is my tribute to the purity of wonder, and to the silent poetry we can find simply by slowing down, and seeing.
