Though hiking in the Gold Coast hinterland regularly in the past 10 years, I have developed a deeper sense of looking at nature.
Through light, shadows, layers of greens, I let myself entering this often hostile and ignored world of the forest, the chaos of living and dying, the new trees, the old fallen ones, the decay, the water and wildlife sounds.
It can be overpowering at stopping and having a good look at what one can see, it hard to see a base, a top, an end to left and right, and who knows what will happen if you leave the track !
