This portrait is based on my photo from last year. My parents are always afraid of me growing too fast, but I don’t want to slow down. I think I changed a lot in the last year. I grew taller, started talking more, and ran faster. I am also getting better at drawing. I really want to keep this growth by learning more and thinking about the world around me.
In this piece, I've tried to capture not just my physical appearance, but also my personality. The bright colors represent my energy and enthusiasm. I’m really interested in understanding our own selves - what makes us who we are and how we change over time. This self-portrait is my way of looking into these ideas.
