FLOWERS ON YUGAMBEH COUNTRY i – Coastal Dunes

Sarah's ideas for the series, “Flowers On Yugambeh Country” were conceived during The Voice campaign. Sarah wanted to continue her exploration of Australian native flowers, focussing only on species native to the area on Yugambeh lands, from Northern New South Wales to The Sunshine Coast. The series title helps us be mindful of the traditional owners of the lands upon which we live and work, and of our relationship and responsibilities towards nature.
The painting is the first of four works forming the first part of the series, which explores flowers found along the coastal, beach and dune areas. Sarah drew from the local book "Mangroves to Mountains" in informing her composition and choice of flowers.
Flowers have been a breath of fresh air in Sarah’s practice during her recent transition to motherhood, and as a therapeutic respite from the news and from current events both in Australia and abroad.

Method of shipment is through Aramex Courier Services road freight services.
We currently ship to Australian locations only. We cannot deliver to PO Boxes.

About Sarah Beetson
Sarah Beetson is a British/Australian Artist. She studied at Falmouth University UK and worked in the London fashion industry for Mary Portas, POP Magazine and Stella McCartney, before establishing her art career. Sarah has exhibited her art in London, Paris, New York, Portland, Ottawa, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Wollongong, Gold Coast and Brisbane. Her client commissions include The Telegraph and The Times, Penguin Books, The British Fashion Council, MAC Cosmetics, Delta Airlines, The Wall Street Journal, Smithsonian Mag, Ford Germany, and Comic Relief. Awards include Creative Review’s Best in Book, Illustrated London Best in Show and The Metro Award (Shortlist).
