Golden Fields of Mt Warning

Oil Painting on double thick canvas

The Golden Fields shows my love for the area in which I live, on the border between Queensland and NSW. This magical place combines a view of the glorious Mt Warning near Murwillumbah and the luscious rolling fields below. I am portraying that feeling of abundant warmth and movement while capturing the big glorious sky that we are often so fortunate to see in this part of the region. The stunningly intense colour helps to direct the viewer through the fields and enjoy the movement of the water over the exposed rocks while also enjoying the peacefulness of the clouds' reflections. It's everything I love, the colour, the movement and the peacefulness with a spacious country feel reminiscent of my upbringing.

Size: 122 × 61.5 cm
