A Portal Over the Forest
I wanted to illustrate what it could looks like letting myself through a portal taking me outside of this world. I wanted it to be part of a landscape and from this point, I had no ideas where the inspiration would take me. I was led by my brushes, the paint, the flow of the solvent removing colour as I went. I was just happy to explore the medium and let it go in any direction it feels like to go. Painted this way gives more latitude to the viewer since it is not a didactic illustration. Everyone can be the creative soul as they make up their own stories.
Size: 40 × 30 cm
