Last Tree on the Foreshore

This artwork aims to reveal the strength of a lone mangrove tree as it faces storm surges and manages to produce seeds and flowers. The intention is to reveal the intricate, fluid and complex nature of estuaries in the local area.
I walk almost daily in local estuaries (whilst removing plastic debris) and have developed an awe and concern for the future of mangroves. This relationship to place is interwoven in the mixed media artworks. I aim to replicate detailed marine patterns, as well as the translucent and shifting nature of inter-tidal zones.

Method of shipment is through Aramex Courier Services road freight services.

About Fiona Endermann
Fiona’s paintings aim to reveal her awe and concern for her local environment through her translucent and layered work. The art process involves painting with oils, over a photo. A layer of wax is poured and etched with oils, to reveal details of tidal patterns and remnants of mangroves.
Fiona’s artworks have been exhibited in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, and held in private and public spaces nationally and internationally. More recently Fiona held a successful show at Brisbane Powerhouse precinct, whilst been a selected finalist in various art competitions.
