About Francie Evans

Francie Evans is an emerging portrait and still life artist based in Brisbane, Australia.

Focussing on the quiet moments often overlooked in the rush of daily life, Francie aims to capture these in her oil paintings. Her works are typically grounded in realism, and showcase a soft luminance and painterly brushstrokes reminiscent of the Impressionists, Pre-Raphaelites and Romantics.

She began oil painting in 2021 and has since exhibited both internationally and locally. She was a finalist in the 2023 Brisbane Portrait Prize Salon des Refusés, and the 2022 Dean Cogle Portrait Prize.
