A GOLDEN SUNRISE

The golden light at sunrise at The Spit on the Gold Coast feels so special. The surfers embrace the warm light and water as they are silhouetted against the gold.
I explored the idea of using a golden background, then built the acrylic colours of the sky and water like a water colour with the gold emerging throughout.
Adding birds brings more activity as you explore this piece. Enjoy!

Nature is inspirational! Flowers, birds, the beach, and the everchanging sky are seen in Jeanene’s work.
Jeanene studied at Sydney College of the Arts, majoring in Interior Design. She worked in the Interior Architectural field, and lectured at Adult Education Institutions in Sydney, and the Gold Coast.
She is enjoying searching and creating, using high quality acrylics on gallery standard stretched canvas. Exploring the reflective qualities of different paints, her pieces reflect the light differently at various times of the day. Her work is intended to make you happy!
