Oil

At times one crests a hill on a walk and is presented with a scene that takes one's breath away. Such was the feeling one morning when I saw this view in the morning light. After some sketches and some reference photos I went back to the studio and tried to capture the morning light shining on a couple of perfect waves. I was tempted to use vivid colours but instead toned my palette a little and let the natural light shine though.
