Natasha Zraikat
The Eclipse

Oil on Canvas

This painting is a response to an encounter that I had with a barn owl. It was mid-morning and I live near the beach, so this meeting was a shocking one for me, one I am certain was linked to the full lunar eclipse that occurred the night before.

This was a profound moment, and it marked a turning point in my life. In the months that followed, a message was reinforced time and time again. When we allow stillness into our lives, we can hear our inner voice. From this place, we can seek guidance from our intuition.

Living in connection with ourselves brings us into greater connection with all living things, and in this place, our lives become deeper, richer and infinitely more magical.

Size: 51 × 76 cm

About Natasha Zraikat

An imaginative realist painter working in oils, Natasha is fascinated with nature, humanity and how the two interconnect. The animal allegories in her work represent various parts of her psyche and how she perceives her existence. Natasha’s paintings invite us into a dream-like state where intuitive meaning triumphs over physical reality.

Born in California to Jordanian/Palestinian and Russian/Ukrainian parents, Natasha immigrated to the Gold Coast / Yugambeh country during her childhood where she still lives today. Much of her recent work reflects her own personal journey finding her own sense of identity and place of belonging in the world.
