Sugarcane Vibes Murwillumbah
Oil on canvas
Seeing Sugarcane fields bring back great memories for me of family holidays heading towards the coast from country NSW, you knew you were not far away from the ocean when you started coming across sugarcane fields, starting off in the early hours of the morning it was usually just as the sun was coming up you would hit the fields
I’m fortunate now to reside on the Gold Coast and am often travelling down towards Murwillumbah and the north coast areas that continue to farm sugar. Driving through these fields always seems to bring on some feelings of nostalgia for me, but it’s still the early morning drives when the sun is rising that brings back those memories and past excitement of a childhood adventure and holiday.
