Lesley Ryan
The Gate
Watercolour
The painting is influenced by Lesley’s love of Japanese woodblocks, simple lines, and the reduction of landscape to basic forms. Watercolour as a medium allows her to develop a visual language, which creates the mood. These landscapes are images with free-flowing movements, using a variety of found and made tools.
Size: 94 × 74 cm
