This painting captures a quiet moment along the Bribie Passage, where a group of birds stand side by side at the water’s edge, their still shapes reflected in the calm surface below. The fading light softens the scene, blurring the line between what’s real and what’s mirrored. I was drawn to the quiet symmetry and the gentle sense of connection between the birds. I like to think they’re reflecting on their day—just as we often do—taking a moment of stillness before night settles in.
