I loved using bright colours in this piece to capture the feel of Australian suburbia. Nothing is more Aussie than to have a cold beer on a hot day after mowing the lawn. As blokes do, admiring their handy work as their home is surrounded by a masterpiece of smooth green carpet. Also there is nothing more Aussie than sharing a beer with mates although in this case the "Sox" prefers milk ...but it's the thought that counts. Mates spending some time together as the noise stops...quality time in suburbia Australia !

About Gerard Browne
I was prompted by some friends who are professional artists, " to have a go at painting " during Covid. I thought why not. My first efforts were awful,(lol) but I persevered and began to enjoy the artistic journey. Luckily with time my "creations" improved. What I could see in my mindseye was able to be transferred to colour on a canvas. I still enjoy that journey to this very day.
I have been a finalist in the "Doyles" twice and have received multiple " Certificates of Artistic Achievement" from the Luxembourg International Art Prize as well.
