Boat on the Lake
Acrylic on canvas
This piece was inspired by moments of memories from my childhood. I used a mixture of acrylic paint and impasto to create texture and bring the painting to life.
When I was creating this painting, I found myself drawn equally to the beauty of both sunrise and sunset. Each moment in the day offers its own unique palette of colours—soft, glowing tones that signal the beginning of a day, and warm, deep hues that mark its close. Unable to choose between these two moments, I allowed both influences to shape the work.
I encourage the audience to study the colours and layers and form their own interpretation. Is the scene welcoming the first light of morning, or capturing the final glow of the day? In leaving this question open, the painting becomes a personal experience.
Size: 30 × 40 cm
