Dr Burgess
For this portrait, I chose to draw my Year 4 teacher, Dr Burgess, because he is gentle, kind and extremely patient. In the past, I went to extension classes with him, and I learned lots of extended knowledge. Later, my learning was stretched even further, as he fortunately became my Year 4 class teacher. He spends his time making lessons for the class, whether it’s puzzles or fun activities. I drew him using HB, 2B, 4B and 6B pencils, but later I decided to make an energy-like background with his favourite colours, using acrylic paints, different paintbrushes and spatula.
