This is my dad. He has been with me throughout my whole life and has never let me down no matter what. Me and my dad have created such a strong bond over the years, and I love him with all my heart. I could never imagine a world without him because he has always been a core part of not only my life, but me as a person. He has taught me many skills from how to walk, to social tips and schoolwork.
I used shades of green pencil in the background because green is both our favourite colour. It shows how we are connected even by the smallest details of our lives. Some people view grey as dull and sad, but I see it as a strong and stable bridge between a fierce black and pure white. This is why I used grey graphite pencils for my portrait as it symbolises his strength and resilience.
