Breaking Waves
Acrylic on Canvas
A solitary boat floats amidst abstract waves and a turbulent sky, symbolising the emotional ebb and flow of a soul caught between two worlds. The layered textures and contrasting colours convey both chaos and calm—an internal storm shaped by longing and resilience.
With no visible horizon or oars in sight, the vessel becomes a metaphor for surrender to the journey within. Yet, a soft light emerges from the mist, suggesting hope and movement. This piece is deeply personal: not a cry for help, but a quiet testament to navigating memory, distance, and identity.
Size: 50 × 50 cm

About Francella Osuna
Francela Osuna, born in Caracas, Venezuela, faced early battles with severe anxiety and mood swings. Initially drawn to crafting—exploring macramé, ceramics, and woodworking—she migrated to Australia amidst challenges in her home country.
During a phase of personal transition, art became Francela's anchor. Over the last two years, painting emerged as her sanctuary, providing a space for unimpeded creative expression. The artworks presented in this exhibition signify Francela's newfound focus on art as a means of personal exploration and creative growth.
