Meg Frances
Calling

acrylic on canvas

The road is calling. This piece evokes a sense of being beckoned into the heart of rural Australia. The wide road disappearing into the distance entices us to explore just one more bend, one more curve in the road to find out what beauty is to behold round the corner. This artwork is inspired by a recent road trip out to central western Queensland. The country landscape at dusk, the long shadows and golden light of the setting sun on the trees and grasses cannot help but evoke feelings of calm and serenity, making the hustle and bustle of everyday life seem like another world.

Size: 73 × 53 cm
