Clinging to Life
Pastel and mixed media on canvas
Constant lapping of saltwater waves wash over the lichen-coated rocks of the Bay of Fires. The Casuarina tree holds onto life, wedged between the rocks inhospitable crevices. I am always drawn to this place, with warmth and comfort in the flamed hues of the rocks in Summers heat, yet baring isolated, coarse and cold Winters.
Size: 80 × 142 cm
