Collins Waterhole
Oil on Linen
A love of the Australian bush is where ideas for my paintings start, over the last few years that love, and awe of its natural beauty has been the focus of my painting practice. I reside in the beautiful Tallebudgera Valley, Collins Waterhole is in the bush backyard of my friends’ former home not a landmark of note, my moniker for it so named after the original owners. The waterhole is surrounded by natural bush of Australian native trees and palms and is a haven for little creatures and birds seeking out insects and water for nourishment. The concept for this painting of Collins Waterhole came about from observing the refection of the natural bush on the water.
