About Maraika Taylor Clairfayt

Maraika is a Gold Coast artist that is drawn to the atmospheric magic that tonal work provides. The viewer is invited to get lost in simplicity and be captured by mood and motion. For the last seven years she has been creating pieces in charcoal and loving the complexity it can deliver by just a slight erase or smudge. Her landscape work was Highly Commended in The Doyle’s 2024 and was part of the GC Triennial 2024-2025 exhibited at HOTA.
